Can we try and make a colourful patterns or artworks in our floor using glass or coloured stone?
Yes you can but this can be tricky as it is necessary that the beads etc are at the right depth in the concrete to allow correct exposure on grinding. Together with your imagination and our technical advice we can aim to achieve the best finish possible. -
Is polished concrete expensive?
The pricing of a polished concrete finish is comparable to the pricing for a tiled floor. -
Can i have my polished floor repaired i’ve just had it done and it was a bad job?
Yes – unfortunately we spend a lot of time repairing bad workmanship performed by less experienced operators! -
What about colour in our slab floor? What colours can our concrete be and when is the colour added?
Color can be added to your mix at the time of pouring, this needs to be discussed with your concrete supplier. Ask your supplier for there color range and we recommend that you double the strength to allow for some fading. -
Can the slab be heated?
Yes, any slab can be heated. With in-slab hydronic heating on a polished concrete you will never live on a better floor.

Why do I need a sealer?
Concrete is porous so unless a sealer, be it acrylic, polyurethane, epoxy or GTA hardener is used then the natural porosity will be susceptible to staining and scratching.

When is the best time to polish a new concrete slab?
The best time for us is usually about 1 week after the pour, I will inspect the floor and advise the best result for you. -
What other factors/variables to do with the cement layer and concreter are important for ensuring the polished concrete job is finished perfectly?
New home builders should consult with their concrete polisher to ensure that their slab is poured with concrete polishing in mind.
