Quick FAQs
-
What happens if someone spills wine on my floor?
Wipe as soon as possible with a damp cloth. -
Should I add retarding agents to the concrete mix?
Do NOT add any retarding agents to a concrete mix that is going to be ground and sealed or polished. Retarding agents WILL affect the seal and may react badly with the polishing process. Simply apply a light sprinkle of water to the slab as required. -
Do I need to advise the concreter and or supplier that the concrete will be polished?
Yes, this will avoid the concrete supplier from sending truck deliveries from different depots and using different batches of concrete. The concreter can then also take special care to avoid screed marks and aggregate inconsistency.
-
When do you add the colour?
Colours are added by the concrete supplier and are in the mix before the concrete sets.
-
What about aggregates in concrete mix? What is generally available and what is recommended?
This is an endless choice that is only limited by your imagination. There are numerous mixes available though your concrete supplier but it must be though out well before the pour takes place. -
Can CCC polish a concrete shower base recess?
Yes we can however there are several technical issues that will need to be addressed between the concreter, plumber and water proofing professional. There are also some serious longevity issues that may occur. Please contact us for more info. -
At what stage should we polish?
About a week to 10 days after the slab is poured. -
My friend told me that concrete floors crack?
